Church Plant Intern

I was born in Pulaski, Virginia where my family and I did not go to church at all. At a young age my parents thought it would be best to get a divorce where that clearly destroyed me. The divorced moved me to South Carolina away from everyone. Eventually my neighbor in South Carolina invited me to go to church with him. The church was called Greenpond Baptist and it was through the leadership of that church that God showed me His amazing love for me. This was my ninth grade summer. The same summer I had an opportunity to go on a mission trip to West Virginia. The leaders asked me if I would be willing to lead a small devotion to a group of about eight. I anxiously said yes to this task. It was during this devotion that I began to experience what it was like to share the truths of God's word. All I could think about was how can I do this more often! I loved every second of it. Ironically, I was that kid that was shy to speak up in class to give an answer and now I am wanting to share God's word to groups of people. It was that summer I knew that God was calling me to be in the ministry. Throughout high school I never doubted this calling. Once graduated high school, I went to North Greenville University in Tigerville South Carolina. It was at this school where God begin to put a passion in my heart for church revitalization and church planting. Not only at college did God begin to reveal more of His will in my life, but I met my lovely bride Mandy. After graduating from college I worked as a youth pastor for two years at Selma Baptist Church in Woodruff, South Carolina. It was during that time as a youth pastor that God begin to do more work in my heart about church planting. When I heard about the opportunity here in Pennsylvania I new this was something God could have my wife and I to do. In September of 2019 we moved to Selinsgrove, Pa to begin our journey of Church planting.

Interesting Facts: I love my wife Mandy! We do not have any kids at the moment but, we do have a 135lb labradoodle name Gus. I love to play disc golf with my friends. My favorite book in the Bible to study is the book of Hebrews.
